Recipient of the BP award for Best Canadian Film at Inside Out LGBT Festival, Toronto, 2012, SHE SAID BOOM is a documentary about the groundbreaking queer feminist art band Fifth Column, who were at the centre of the influential Queercore scene in the 1980-90s. This intergenerational program explored the origin and sounds of queercore, and supported a forum for female and gender non-binary youth and adults to engage in discussion with artists, curators, and mentors working across the fields of queer and feminist music and cinema.
