h3D Space (Head Space) was the umbrella moniker for the 2013 VIA Festival's live visual environment for two main events. Arguably VIA’s most ambitious and all-encompassing visual arts project to date, h3D Space was a combination of curated, live, and crowd-sourced imagery with virtual appearances from artist-avatars. Each night approaches CGI video content and IRL/virtual “presence” from a different angle and expresses a fascination with the tension between hi-gloss spectacles and the inherent imperfections in 3D technology.
